Sydney Open

More than 60 historic and architecturally significant buildings will open to the public on 3 and 4 November for Sydney Open.

Sydney Open celebrates its 21st year in 2018 with 26 new buildings added to the program. The event is split into two distinct halves. On 3 November, behind-the-scenes “focus tours” will run at some of the city’s most recognizable spaces and buildings, including the newly extended Anzac Memorial Hyde Park by JPW and Government Architect NSW.

The next day, on 4 November, open passes will allow visitors to “drop-in” to more than 40 buildings in Sydney including Harry Seidler’s Grosvenor Place and Australia Square, as well a new buildings to the program such as Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners’ International Towers Sydney in Barangaroo and the newly refurbished State Library of NSW by Hassell.

The festival also includes a range of talks with architects and muscial performances.
