Based in Auckland, but active throughout New Zealand, Simon specialises in architectural photography. Simon has exhibited a number of his photographs at the Gow langsford Gallery, where he is represented, and is the sponsor of the Simon Devitt Photography award at the Auckland University School of Architecture and Planning. In 2011 his book Summer Houses, a collaboration with writer Andrea Stevens, was published. His book about Ian Athfield’s architecture Portrait of a House was published in 2013.
