Flooring solutions for parking structures

Flooring systems for parking structures must meet high demands as outdoor, multi-storey and underground car parks are subject to many different stresses, including atmospheric conditions, de-icing salt effects, automotive fluids and vehicular and pedestrian traffic loads. Deck coatings in multi-storey car parks and basement garages are among the most heavily stressed of such systems. Therefore, car park surfaces demand robust and highly resistant coatings.

Sika polyurethane floor systems consist of highly engineered products typically applied in multi-storey and underground car parks, ground-bearing slabs, intermediate decks, top decks, exposed areas, ramps, entrance areas and garages.

Sika i-cure is an intelligent technology that can enhance the aesthetics and performance of polyurethane flooring. In 2-C polyurethanes, the unwanted side reaction with moisture is suppressed, and the final product cures independently to the moisture during application. The technology allows a quicker cure and therefore a faster return to service.
