Glassworks’ LoĒ³-340 is a blueish triple-silver low-e with superior solar control for commercial glazing applications and facades with the added feature of Neat easy-clean coating. It is double glazed in an Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) and combines solar control and insulation.
With layers of 6 mm LoĒ³-340, 12 mm Argon and 6 mm Clear, a LoĒ³-340 IGU has a Solar Heat Gain Coeefficient (SHGC) of 0.18 with a U-Value of 1.35 and a commercially acceptable VLT of 39%. Specifying LoĒ³-i89 on surface 4 of the IGU, in place of Clear, brings the U-Value down to 1.11 for better insulation.
While LoĒ³-340 is a darker glass due to the coating, it is not a tinted glass, so it doesn’t heat up like tinted glass. Furthermore, the added benefit of the Neat easy-clean coating technology makes the outside surface smoother and harnesses the suns rays to loosen organic matter so the rain can wash it away, leaving minimal streaks.
