NexGEN's DryJoist is a structural deck drainage system that provides the structure of the deck, a watertight solution and a finished ceiling with a traditional bead board appearance, all in one.
DryJoist is an extruded marine-grade aluminium product that creates a structurally sound, watertight subframe system that does not rot, warp, crack or rust. DryJoist is lightweight and durable, which reduces overall building costs as the associated support frame system requirements are considerably reduced compared to alternative products.
The cross-sectional profile of DryJoist is 50 mm in height with two board widths, 100 mm (multi-joist) or 150 mm (main-joist). Once installed, each board acts as a box gutter; therefore, not much fall is required for water to be effectively diverted.
DryJoist replaces the need for traditional wooden joists and provides dry space in the area below. Its integrative design eliminates the need for add-on gutter systems, waterproofing membranes or drainage substructures.
