Institute’s Dulux Study Tour 2021 to explore Australia’s best

International travel might still not be on the horizon, but the Australian Institute of Architects’ Dulux Study Tour is returning in 2021, giving emerging architects the opportunity to explore the best of Australian architecture.

Hopeful emerging architects can now apply to be a part of the tour, with entries closing on 6 April. Entries are open to all architects and graduates of architecture of who have graduated with a Master of Architecture degree (or equivalent) within the past 10 years, provided they are members of the Australian Institute of Architects.

The prize will be awarded to five applicants on the basis of their individual contributions to architectural practice, education, design excellence, and community involvement.

In previous years, the study tour visited a range of architectural sites internationally. The 2019 tour, for instance, visited Copenhagen, London and Lisbon, while the 2020 tour was scheduled to visit Tokyo, Berlin and Madrid, before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, winners “will experience firsthand some of Australia’s best architectural sites and practices.”

The 2020 winners have been invited to join either the 2021 or 2022 tour.
