More winners revealed in Queensland’s regional architecture awards

Winners have been announced in the Queensland Regional Architecture Awards for Central Queensland, Darling Downs and West Moreton, and North Queensland, following the earlier annoucement of the Brisbane awards.

Cox Architecture won the top award for two of the regions, with Waltzing Matilda Centre winning in Central Queensland and James Cook University Central Plaza, designed with Counterpoint Architecture, winning in North Queensland.

In the Darling Downs and West Moreton region, Fulton Trotter Architects took out the top award for Kurrajong, a new centre for senior learning at Springfield Anglican College.

Winners in the remaining regions, including Far North Queensland, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast, will be revealed in the coming weeks. Regional winners will be shortlisted for the state awards, to be announced in June.
