Three new professors appointed to University of Sydney

The University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning has appointed three new accomplished professors to its teaching cohort to enhance students’ industry knowledge.

Jennifer McMaster, a founding director of Trias, will return to the her alma mater as a professor of practice. An advocate of holistic architecture, McMaster will provide knowledge on design approaches that thoughtfully integrate sustainability, functionality and beauty to create timeless structures.

Ashley Dunn will be joining McMaster as an associate professor of practice in architecture. Dunn is the founding director of Dunn Hillam Architecture and Urban Design and will draw on his own expertise to provide students with insight into sustainable design principles, heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, master planning and rural and regional development, as well as shed light on principles for designing arts, culture and tourism projects.

Founder and CEO of tech platform Sirap.io, Daniel Fallman has been appointed associate professor at the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning. With industry experience in design research and practice, Fallman will seek to equip aspiring designers with practical knowledge to respond to real-world challenges through innovative design methods.
