The 2020 edition of the Gyprock Red Book, described as “the construction industry bible,” is now available.
Now in its 21st year, the Gyprock Red Book puts all the performance detail and technical guidance needed for specifying residential and commercial wall, ceiling, column and beam systems in one place.
This year, it is presented in three separate books for enhanced navigation, functionality and efficiency.
Book 1: The Design Guide
Book 1 features system shortcut diagrams detailing which wall and ceiling systems are suitable for a variety of buildings such as hospital, schools, offices and aged care facilities.
The Design Guide provides fire, acoustic and thermal information on hundreds of wall and ceiling systems and includes products from the CSR companies Gyprock, Cemintel, Himmel, Bradford, AFS and Hebel.
High resolution diagrams complete with tables listing appropriate systems assist in making it easy to know which wall and ceiling systems are appropriate for a given project.
Book 2: Residential Installation Guide – Class 1 and 10 Buildings
The second book provides comprehensive installation details for Gyprock plasterboards fixed to walls and ceilings of timber, steel and masonry construction in residential buildings.
Book 3: Commercial and Multiresidential Installation Guide – Class 2-9 buildings
This book provides comprehensive installation details for Gyprock plasterboard in commercial construction. The details focus on slab-to-slab steel framed construction that is common in offices, warehouses, schools, hospitals, and medium to high-rise residential construction.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Red Books are for now only available in a digital format, though printed books will be available later this year. The books are available for download here.
