The shortlist for the 20th annual Australian Interior Design Awards includes 46 projects in the Hospitality Design category.
The jury note the narrative and experiential qualities of the entries. “Elements are well considered and not just evocative. Hospitality Design is a strong category that is textured and colourful, but shows restraint and confidence,” said juror Stuart Krelle.
Fellow juror Jeremy Bull added, “By and large, the designers that suffuse old and new, masculine and feminine, and then and now are by far the most successful in delivering work that has the capacity to transcend trend and churn.”
