A modestly scaled, “great coastal house” has taken top honours in the Australian Institute of Architects 2022 Gold Coast/Northern Rivers Regional Architecture Awards.
Bankia by Aphora Architecture was named the Philip Follent House the Year by the jury, who said, “This house is a delight. There is an obvious level of care and attention to detail that all really good architecture exhibits.”
Elsewhere in the awards, a total of 10 projects received regional commendations and they will now progress to the Queensland Architecture Awards to be announced on 24 June.
